Jobs, jobs, jobs...

Well, I have given into the new way of selling yourself... online, that is. Click here to see my resume blog.

It is reading week and I am going to try as much as I can to catch up on the work, readings and group projects that have fallen behind.

I am also actively (very actively) looking for internship opportunities in Latin America for next summer. It's quite a lot of work but I hope that the effort will be paid off in the near future.

I'll keep you posted on any further developments.

CanadaHelps.org

Just sitting in my not for profit marketing course and I discovered this really great website where one can give to numerous Canadian charities as well as give giftcards as gifts (instead of actual gifts). Check it out by clicking here

Olympia

Well, this isn't the best chronological blog entry I've ever written but... 3 weeks ago, I had a great time with my fellow Schulich IMBA and MBA colleagues at a day camp in Muskoka. We were pretty crazy and the resulting chaos produced some pretty entertaining moments. Click here to get a taste of the action.

Back by popular demand...

... well, not that popular... but thanks Madeline for getting me to start writing again! Not that I haven't been up to many crazy things but life just seems to be on hyperdrive since I've started this IMBA... Okay, let's see, what shall I write about? How about the Top 10 things that keep me busy?

10... Class time! I have over 21 hours of actual class time per week (equivalent to 7 full time classes)

9... Commute time. It takes me roughly 55 minutes to make it from my bedroom to the classroom. I know totally understand why they said York is a commuter university... Oh yeah, I almost forgot... I have classes everyday of the week that start at 8:30 AM.

8... Group projects... Yes, there are group projects for 5 of the 7 classes I am taking which means 5 meetings, often once a week to discuss how to resolve the worlds problems (not kidding.... We are doing a sustainability project on how to reduce electricity use in order to reduce our environmental footprints... We need to use reframing techniques to "think outside of the box" with "disintermidiating technologies"... Got the lingo, bro?

7... Making lunches everyday! I'm impressed I've been able to keep this up so far... It has helped me save money and lose weight (lost 5 pounds already!). I should write a book about it and retire at 34 like this guy (www.stopworking.ca)

6... Going through my e-mails... Not that I'm popular... But I'm on the list serve for the class! Grrrr! That's 20 minutes of my life, I'll never get back... Well, I do send e-mails to our class list serve as well...

5... Reading in the library... Along with the countless assignments (well, they are counted... see item # 4) we have to hand in and the 21 hours of class time... I need to read the equivalent of 4 Britannica encyclopedias...

4... Completing assignments... I counted the number to hand in (well, I didn't but a nice Chinese girl in my program made a schedule of all the assignments we have to hand in... thanks, nice Chinese girl!) and there are 23 items on the list.

3... Working out... Wait, I don't have time for that... Oh... my muscle are slowly decomposing...

2... Updating my blog... Come on... I've got better things to do than this! Well, maybe not.

1... And the number reason I am busy is seeing my beautiful Jess at least once a week (I love you baby... alright, all you others, stop gagging!). Her living in Waterloo makes it more convenient to just drop by. And one of my IMBA buddies has a girlfriend in Waterloo! How cool is that? It makes the hour and a half travel much more entertainment.

First Entry

Hey guys and dolls! This is my first entry 10 days prior to my move to Toronto, the place everybody loves to hate! It will be an interesting transition from Ottawa to London and then back to Toronto for the next 20 months (maybe more... time will tell). Stay updated on the latest adventures as I embark in yet another education voyage at the Schulich School of Business. I expect to put up links to pics, my own observations and funny stories about life, school and relationships.
